Placenta Encapsulation - Perth
Why choose Kristin?
Experience & Training
I have over 14 years of experience and have encapsulated close to 1,300 placentas for mothers across Perth. (Previously known as BodyWise BirthWise)
I am dual-certified. First in 2012 with Placenta Benefits (PBi), and then through the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts (APPA) in 2016 - still widely regarded as the gold standard in placenta training.
I maintain annual certification in Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control, in line with occupational health and safety standards for handling human tissue.
I have earned the trust of midwives, obstetricians and doulas, and have a strong base of returning clients who come back for their second, third, and even fourth babies!
I don’t overbook; I limit the number of bookings I accept each month, so you receive the personalised, reliable and professional service you deserve.
I have never received a report of adverse effects from any of my clients using their placenta capsules.
Over the years, I've received countless heartfelt testimonials from the families I've supported through this service.
“Thank you so much Kristin, for everything. If I were having any more children, I would be getting placenta encapsulation again.
I continue to tell people about my experience with having my placenta encapsulated. The benefits have definitely been worthwhile. I just take one little capsule and within one day I am full of energy and life - even with a small amount of sleep. Zoé is thriving and I can’t thank you enough for that.
My husband and I have been talking about the benefits. We found that I have more energy and feeling good overall, my postpartum bleeding went away within 4 weeks. Compared to my son – which was 12 weeks. My milk supply has gone well and Zoé is 6kgs!
Your products are amazing and I hope to get some for friends who having any more children in the future. Thanks once again.”

2. Safety, Integrity & Privacy
I follow all APPA and Department of Health guidelines, including strict protocols for handling, sanitising, storage, and identification.
I do not make therapeutic claims about the use or benefits of placenta encapsulation, in line with TGA regulations.
I have always held full insurance coverage for placenta encapsulation services.
I was the first provider in Perth to introduce personalised, branded Placenta Kits (since 2017), compliant with the Department of Health’s Packaging and Transport of Pathology Specimens and Infection Control Guidelines.
Every booking includes a Placenta Kit - this is not an option or an additional charge. It comes to you flat-packed, and is compact, discreet, and easy to take to your place of birth.
3. Respectful, Confidential Care
I never intrude on your birth space. Even if you invite me in, I do not ask for photos or promotional content.
I am highly sensitive to your privacy and rest, and always collect placentas discreetly and respectfully, often without entering your room at all.
Your placenta is only ever handled by me, from collection through to processing and capsule delivery.
I do not outsource any part of the process or allow unqualified individuals to assist.
I do not use promotional photos of your placenta, capsules, or labelled containers that could reveal your identity.
4. Strict Quality Standards
I work on one placenta at a time - from start to finish - even with multiple sets of equipment.
My preparation methods include:
Proper identification procedures
Temperature and dehydration controls
Aseptic techniques
Use of hospital-grade cleaning agents and PPE
Full compliance with the Australian Government Department of Health Infection Control Guidelines
I never use essential oils in the steaming water, or burn incense or smudge sticks over the placenta - there is no evidence to support the safety or efficacy of such practices.
I work from a dedicated workspace using dehydrators with top-positioned fans only.
5. Capsule & Packaging Care
I only use clear capsules, so you can easily see the integrity of their contents. I do not provide artificially flavoured capsules.
Capsules are packed in rigid, recyclable plastic containers and not glass, which poses a breakage risk that can render capsules unsafe.
Capsules are typically finished and posted within 24-36 hours of receiving the placenta, so you can begin benefiting from them as soon as possible, and help buffer the hormonal shift of the early days after birth.
Capsules come with a comprehensive booklet that contains all the information you require.
I only used Australia Post Express Service, and all parcels require a signature on delivery. If you anticipate staying in the hospital for a few days, I can send it to another address (e.g. family/friend).
“Kristin's level of service was outstanding. She has a very caring and professional approach. Her website was informative, comprehensive, and answered all my questions before I booked in. She came recommended to me and now I would highly recommend her to others!”
